Tips and Recommendations |
- Make sure to read the "ReadMe" file that comes with
the driver.
- Make sure there is an Echo24 or Echogals extension in the Extension
Manager. Apple>Control Panel>Extension Manager.
- Echo drivers work with ASIO based applications only (e.g. Cubase,
Logic, Digital Performer, Peak, etc.) They are not sound manager
compatible.
- Make sure there is an ASIO driver in the ASIO Drivers folder
in your audio application's folder.
- Turn off virtual memory.
- Turn off Apple Talk.
- If the system is crashing, try trashing the application preferences
folder and the Echo driver preferences folder. Note: All Cubase
settings will be lost.
- Make sure your computer meets the minimum system requirements
stated in the Echo product manual. Note: G3 and G4 upgrade cards
are not supported.
- We do support dual processors. We recommend you use the latest
version of Mac OS 9 or OS X if you are using a dual processor
machine.
- Try opening the Echo Console before opening your audio application.
- Try manually removing your drivers and reinstall them. See
manual removal instructions below:

Manually removing your Mac driver: |
- Open your boot hard drive, and trash your Echo folder.
- Open your application program(s) / Asio folder(s) and trash
your "Asio Darla, Gina, Layla " driver OR /AND your
"ASIO Echo24" driver.
- Go to your System Folder / Extensions folder and trash your
Echo Extension: "Echo 24" OR /AND "Echogals"
- Go to your System folder / OMS folder and trash your "OMS
driver".
- Go to: your System folder / Preferences folder and trash your
"Echo console preferences" and "Echo driver preferences".
